Mudeford quay is a center for the local sea fishing industry with walks and beaches and its ever popular pub overlooking the quay is within walking distance.
Within 5 minutes drive is the new forest with its walks and cycling tracks not to forget the famous wild ponies.
For the nature lover Stanpit Marsh Nature Reserve is a must consisting of wetlands, marsh and sand banks providing unrivaled opportunities for avid birdwatchers.
For those interested in travel past and present we have close to us the Sammy Millar Motorcycle museum and local gift shops.
Slightly further afield we have Beaulieu about 20 minutes by car, famous for its motor museum and a little further up the road Bucklers Hard an 18th century village and maritime museum.
Closer to us we have Lymington a bussling harbour and town also providing a local ferry service to the Isle of Wight.
Bournemouth one of the largest town locally with all the famous named shops and beaches also provides an opportunity to take a ride in a hot air balloon.
For the younger visitor in addition to the miles of beaches already mentioned Christchurch and surrounding areas offer the Largest Maze in the World, Bournemouth Oceanarium, Alice in Wonderland theme park and Poultons Park.
